By default it is 40% average quality rating, 30% hours taught (relative to your busiest tutor) and 30% the share of lessons without open issues. You can change the weights, and add punctuality, in Settings → Scoring.
Yes. Settings → Quality Rubric lets you edit, remove and add dimensions. New lessons are assessed against your rubric.
Hours taught is only part of the Star Score, and you can reduce its weight. The quality rating and the radar chart are shown separately so you can compare teaching on its own.
If there isn't enough usable conversation to judge, the assessment is marked “insufficient evidence” and left out of averages, so a bad recording doesn't drag a tutor's score down.
No. Ratings are produced by AI and are a starting point for a conversation, not a verdict. Every rating shows its evidence so your team can check it.
